There are moments everyday when my kids make me laugh or shock me. Lately some of the things that Sawyer have really gotten me, because he can be so funny. I want to make sure and have record of a few of the best:
While reading Sawyer his stories at night I usually try to engage him in a conversation about his day or what is going on in the book. Recently, while reading an Elmo book called "The Fix-it Shop, I was apparently asking too many questions about what was going on in the book, because he looked at me and said, "Mama, just read it!".
In another instance, when we were talking about his day at night after we read I asked him what he did that day, his response: "I played outside. I peed in my pants". Ha! Can you tell we are potty training.
On the night of his 3 year check-up and shots, I was asking about his day and what he did:
Me: What did you do today?
S: Got in the truck, went to the dr.
Me: What did you get at the dr? (expecting him to say a sucker, because he LOVES suckers)
S: I got a boo-boo!
Ha! Guess he remembered the shot more than the sucker!
Last night, a while after putting him to bed, I thought that I heard him whimpering so I went in to check on him:
Me: Are you ok buddy?
S: I fine.
Me: Do you need anything.
S: Go to sleep. Get out now.
Guess he didn't need my comfort!
These are what I can remember right now, but I am sure I will add more!
