Eden talks too...

Sawyer says lots of funny things, but my sweet Eden is talking a lot now as well. At 14 months, she says many more things than Sawyer did at her age.

Her current vocabulary includes dada, mama (finally), bite (her favorite word), bye bye, read, toy, shoe, and baby. She uses these pretty well, except there are a lot of things she considers a baby.

She is also an excellent shrieker, professional really. She shrieks when she can't reach something, or wants food, or wants something Sawyer has, and, basically, anytime she doesn't get her way. We are working on this, because it is super annoying, to be honest. We take her face in our hands and say no when she shrieks - often times she pouts her lip out and makes a face like we have assaulted her.

She walks, runs and climbs. Yesterday she moved the footstool, multiple times, so that she could use it to climb on to furniture until mama finally put it away.

She is a cuddler when she wakes up or gets tired, especially with Brandon. She is Brandon's girl. She will cuddle much longer with him and goes to him often for him to hold her. She seeks him for comfort and makes him hold her for a while when he gets home from work.

Recently, she has began to enjoy reading books instead of just eating them. She will bring a book to you and say, "re-read, re-read". So sweet. Then, if it is one of her favorites, she will want you to read it multiple times and will shriek if you don't.

She eats like no baby I have ever scene. Two hands as fast as she can eat it, anything and everything. She has even eaten beets, black eyed peas, olives and cottage cheese without even making a face. At 14 month, we finally stopped nursing. We were only nursing once a day, and I was probably more attached to it than she was. She quickly transitioned to a cup of milk and stories without any problems.

She sleeps well with two naps per day from 1 to 2 hours each and about 11 hours a night usually without a peep. This is a HUGE blessing.

She is a joy and a barrel of laughs, whom we love with all of out heart.
