The crazy differences in pregnancy....

I would be glad to back up the statement that every pregnancy is different. Obviously I have struggled with fatigue in all my pregnancies, increasingly more so when you have small children running around. Sawyer's pregnancy was great, no real nausea, felt good, slept good until the end, etc. I even told Brandon I loved being pregnant, blah, blah....

With Eden I was very nauseous. It was horrible. In fact, every time I get a bit nauseous now I will actually tear up, remembering that time and how debilitating being nauseous all the time can be, even keeping me awake most of the night.

I had some nausea with this pregnancy. (FYI- details to follow may be a little much for some...) In the beginning I had kind of a gross taste in my mouth and a lot extra saliva which is pretty normal. The craziness started at about 10 weeks. I started getting sick after dinner every night. The strange thing is I have no nausea. I describe it as everything in my throat getting kind of thick, then I start gagging and get sick. I haven't kept dinner down in almost 4 weeks. Some days it happens at lunch or an afternoon snack and once at breakfast. I am never nauseous, though my stomach and throat will burn for a while. On bad days, I often end up very tired or with a headache, which I attribute to low calorie intake. It makes no difference what I eat or how much of it. I have lost a few pounds. It can also be kind of embarrassing because I actually get very little warning before I get sick, so it is inhibiting our social lives. I have thrown up in multiple parking lots and a park around Louisville. Really not fond of this symptom.

Unfortunately, I have talked with one other person who had this same problem, it lasted her entire pregnancy. Boo. She said her doctor said it only lasts to 16 weeks with some, so say a prayer for that!

We did get to see our little one on ultrasound at 12 weeks. After some trouble finding the heartbeat, the ultrasound showed us that he (going with that for now) is just very busy. Our response to this was that he will fit in just find around our house!
